Injection technique training
This is a two-hour course for HCAs to teach the principles of injection technique including anatomy and physiology, risks and consent. We will provide you with a competency document which you will complete and get signed off with your assessor.
You will still need to attend the 2-day immunisation course in order to complete your training and if giving flu and pneumonia the update session for this.
It aligns with the 2015 standards for teaching injection techniques.
