In the Wake of Tragedy: Talking to Kids About Gun Violence

This Community Conversation is being presented FREE for social workers, their clients, and the general public.  It is not CEU eligible.

In the wake of tragic mass shootings and gun violence, parents, caregivers, educators and other people who work with children and adolescents often find themselves unsure of how to broach difficult discussion about these tragedies with the young people in their lives. Oftentimes, these adults are wrestling with their own thoughts and feelings about such violence. Nancy Kislin, LCSW, author of the book "Lockdown: Talking to Your Kids About School Violence," joins us for this Community Conversation to help you prepare to have conversations about gun violence with your children.

Virtual meeting information will be sent to you in your confirmation email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
