Description

In this free workshop for performing arts organizations, participants will learn how to assess and improve their level of preparedness for disasters large and small.  Participants will also have the opportunity to share and learn strategies for improving preparedness with other performing arts organizations based on their own experiences.   The recent gas fires and explosions in the Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover area have introduced to all of us the feelings of uncertainty that occur in a disaster.  This workshop will empower participants to implement strategies that will help them feel certain they are prepared when the unexpected occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring? You don't need to bring anything, but you may find a notepad, laptop, or tablet helpful for note taking.

What if I come late or have to leave early? That's okay! we all have busy schedules. Come for as long as you can.

How many of my staff can attend? Registration for each organization is limited to 10, and the total registration for the event is limited to 65.  If you try to register and find that the event is sold out, just let me know, I'm more than happy to schedule a free workshop with you at a time and place that fits your schedule!

Where in the Stevens Memorial Library is the workshop? In the meeting room downstairs to your left once you enter the buidling.
