BETH Foundation Immunisation Training Recommendations For ALL STAFF New To Immunisation For The COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
 
BOTH DAYS NEED TO BE ATTENDED:
Day 1: Friday 11th December 2020
Day 2: Monday 14th December 2020
 
All staff wishing to undertake the foundation immunisation training provided by BETH must ensure that their Provider Organisation is able to support their training and provide them with clinical supervision. 
In addition to acquiring theoretical knowledge and undertaking a formal assessment, immunisers need to develop clinical skills in immunisation and apply their knowledge in practice. A period of supervised practice with a registered health care professional to allow observation of, and development of clinical skills and application of knowledge to practice is essential. All new immunisers will need to complete a competency assessment for formal assessment and sign-off of their clinical competency (PHE). 
In order to register for this course, you will need to give the name of your supervisor who should be a registered HCP/Nurse. As part of the training, you will be expected to take a short test and a competency document will need to be completed before you commence giving vaccinations.
