In this workshop we will engage in visual lectio divina, employing examples of ancient and medieval Christian art that depict the mysteries of our ongoing spiritual journey and our final destiny of union with God. Images to be studied will include Byzantine icons, illuminated manuscripts, and the work of late medieval artists.


Fr. Luke Dysinger has been a monk of Valyermo since 1980.  He is a priest and a physician who writes and teaches in the fields of mystical theology and biomedical ethics.  He earned a Ph.D. at Oxford University and currently teaches at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, CA as well as online courses.
