Continuous improvement cycles in instruction will not maximize student achievement unless teachers first align their vision and determine what the desired outcome will look like for all students. At Orenda, take teachers through a deep curriculum alignment process before beginning any continuous improvement cycles. Without this process, there is not clarity about the instructional rigor or desired outcomes. As educators know, inequities fester where there is a lack of clarity around expectations.

Jeanette Salinas is a Director of Education Services for Orenda Education. She has over 30+ years of experience in education. She has served as teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach and principal. Her areas of expertise include curriculum alignment, balanced literacy and instructional design. Jeanette’s experience and enthusiasm fortify her well as she provides teacher and administrator professional development and coaching focused on closing the achievement and opportunity gap. Jeanette has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cal State University, Fullerton as well as an Administrative Services Credential.
