Sir Raymond Ferrall Centre, Newnham Drive, Newnham, TAS, 7248, Australia.

The Australian Maritime College and AMC Search are excited to announce the 2023 International Conference on Maritime Autonomy and Remote Navigation as a new addition to AMC Search’s Winterfest Autonomous Maritime Systems’ trials.

ICMAR Nav 23 addresses the theme ‘Driving Forward Autonomy in the Maritime Industry’, with the program designed to promote discussion about breakthroughs, challenges, and progression of autonomous systems in the maritime industry.

The autonomous and remotely navigated shipping industry is fast growing. Numerous trials have already been conducted on commercial ships. There are many different concepts and applications for maritime autonomy, which could greatly benefit industry, ranging from smart bridges to unmanned bridges operated from remote operation centres.

Located at the Australian Maritime College in Launceston, Tasmania, attendees have the opportunity to see autonomous navigation software in action in our full mission bridge simulators and a technical visit to our Beauty Point campus to see and operate our fleet of uncrewed surface and sub-surface vessels.
