Overview

Designed by the late, great Zaha Hadid in collaboration with AECOM and delivered by Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the eye-catching 40,000 capacity stadium is all set to impress with its unique elegant looks. The visit will focus on the stadium itself where construction by the Sixco/PORR/Midmac JV is into its second year, the concrete frame is substantially complete and installation of the complex primary roof structure is in full swing.

There are currently six tower cranes working on the stadium bowl and two 600-tonne crawler cranes lifting the pre-assembled primary roof structure elements into position.
