About the Speakers

Khalid Al Mahrouqi - Oman Centre of Architects

Graduated from The University of Bedfordshire in 2001, Luton, UK, Startedmy Career in the Royal Court Affairs Spending the first 5 years providing architectural and interior design services up tothe highest standard.

Then, joined MouryaTourism Development establishing the project management department handling the procurement services and approvals for prestigious ITC developments in Oman and moved after that to WS Atkins completing a number of design projects for the firm and gaining international experience during that time.

With the public and private experience gained, the opportunity to establish an independent architectural and engineering consultancy firm was a natural career development move to service the Local Omani Market associating with international consultancy firms to deliver distinguished services through Resolution Engineering Consultancy.

Natasha Yarvas - Jordanian Union of Engineers

Graduated from University of Jordan (Faculty of Engineering &Technology) in 2001 and at the same year, became a member in Jordanian Engineers Association.

In 2008, she obtained certificate as project manager from the International Association of Project and Program Manager (IAPPM) new Jersey/ USA,I also became certified from IATA in Airport infrastructure design and Airport development and Technical design in 2012.

Moved to the Sultanate of Oman in 2015 and started working as a Business development & Proposals Manager at KHATIB & ALAMI the International Multi-disciplinary Design & Engineering consultancy firm. She has more than 16 years of professional experience in Site Supervision and Project Management for various projects including site project manager Airside and Landside infrastructure of a Jordan’s most prestigious PPP project at that time Queen Alia International Airport Expansion project, which included the construction of terminal, Infrastructure works of the runway and taxi ways and the installation of security equipment and BHS.

Nadhira Alhinai - OSE Women’s Chapter

Eng. Nadhira Alhinai is currently the Head of HSE in one of the Omani Government leading Entities. She is a Civil and Environment Engineer with Professional Qualifications under the following bodies NEBOSH, IOSH and IEMA.

She has 14 years of experience gathered from working in Oman and UK as the Highways & Infrastructure Engineer and HSE Expert. In addition to working in UAE as Senior EHS Consultant in Abu Dhabi and as an EHD Manager in Al Ain.

Her involvement also covers wider scope of volunteering roles within professional and social circles such as in Unique Footprint Team (Down syndrome), Cancer service team, Omani Society of Water, Omani Society of

Engineers, Project Management, international bodies of HSE and the founder of Occupational Safety & Health Oman Society (OSHO) and Women in Engineering Chapter.

The lecture will start promptly at 6.30pm.
