The 4th Annual Howling Fun Run is being held virtual for you and your family's safety. It's a 1K Walk or 3K Run, your choice! You decide where you want to participate, it could be during trick or treating or on a daily outing. We would love to have photos and videos of your participation. All participants will receive a t shirt and a runners number via mail. We ask that you sign up here on Eventzilla by October 31st. Costume contests will be held for Best Costume, Scariest, Funniest and Look Alike. The contests will be judged online from your photos! It's so easy, it's scary!!

We are a regional non-profit whose mission is to train service dogs for veterans with PTSD and TBI. Our program is completely free to qualifying veterans. The training program is approximately a year long, requiring a significant commitment of time from our veterans. We use shelter, rescue and donated dogs exclusively. We do not believe in breeding or raising puppies, because so many dogs raised specifically for service work ultimately wash out. We know there are thousands of great dogs just waiting for a chance to have a job. Our veterans can receive a dog within 60-90 days on average, as opposed to the typical 2 year wait list of other organizations. Because we train the dog and veteran as a team, we can place dogs much quicker and begin helping the veteran sooner. We have 23 veterans currently on our roster and all except one veteran, have dogs and are in various stages of training. We have no salaried employees so all proceeds go directly to acquiring and training dogs for veterans.
