Join us for a dog friendly, family friendly morning on Halloween weekend!  It's our 5th annual event, all proceeds go towards acquiring and training service dogs for our veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI.  We're hosting a 5K timed run, starting at 8:30am.  Followed by a 1K dog walk beginning at 9am.  We'll have awesome goody bags and tee shirts for all participants who preregister.   There will be food, music, door prizes and runner prizes for attendees.  Well mannered dogs are welcome to walk or run.  Local animal and runner related vendors will be onsight.  It will be a howling good time!!

Service Dogs of Distinction

www.servicedogsofdistinction.org

Service Dogs of Distinction is a nonprofit serving all of Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma and southern Missouri. We provide service dogs for veterans with PTSD and TBI, completely free of charge. We utilize shelter, rescue and second chance dogs exclusively because we know there are many talented dogs in our shelters just waiting for an opportunity. We train the veteran and the dog simultaneously, creating a well bonded team that will succeed long after graduation. We give each service team a collar, leash, vest, clicker, crate, wellness exam, dog food, first aid kit, dog boots, portable water dishes, food/water pans - essentially any item the veteran and dog might need to complete their year long training with us. We currently have graduated 45 teams to service dog status and have assisted dozens more needing basic obedience, emotional support dogs and therapy dogs. We receive no money from the state or federal government. All our operating costs are raised through grants, donations and community sponsorship. We hope you join us for this fun, dog friendly Halloween event.
