Howling 5K Run and Halloween Fest

We invite you to join us for our 5th annual Howing Halloween fundraiser!  The location is beautiful Wilson Park in Fayetteville, AR.  The leaves will be turning incredible colors and the 5K run and the dog walk will weave through the park, surrounding woods and historic neighborhood. The cost is $25/person, children under 10 are free.  Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs!   (On leash of course)   We are raising money to train service dogs for veterans with PTSD, which has proven to be a life saving effort for many veterans.  The onsite sign up will begin at 8 am, the 5K will start at 8:30 and the 1 mile dog walk at 9:00.  All participants will receive a tee shirt, goody bag and breakfast.  Masks are required and we will have a best decorated mask contest! We hope everyone will have fun with creating costumes for them and their dogs!  There will also be dog costume contests, door prizes and vendors.   100% of the proceeds will go directly to obtaining and training service dogs for veterans.  Won't you join us??

Service Dogs of Distinction

www.servicedogsofdistinction.org

Service Dogs of Distinction trains shelter and rescue dogs for veterans with PTSD. We carefully match the veteran and the dog so that a successful, effective service team is produced. The program is 12-15 mos long and is absolutely no charge to the veteran. We are a 501(c)3 and depend on private donations, corporate sponsors and fundraisers to meet our yearly budget. We have NO salaried employees and are in our 6th year of operation. The miracles a service dog brings to a veteran's life, must be seen to be believed. We are approaching our 50th graduating team and couldn't be more proud of our vets and their dogs. More information can be found on FB "Service Dogs of Distinction" or www.servicedogsofdistinction.org
