We can help!

Our workshop will cover: 
How to take apart a pc or a laptop and clean it internal and add new thermal paste. How to upgrade the ram or replace the hard drive. Basic hardware problems troubleshooting. 

You can bring your own computer to the workshop or, if this isn't possible, we will have demo equipment for you to practice on!

All tools supplied.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel with full refund up until five full working days before the course or workshop starts. We may offer you a place on an equivalent course or workshop instead of a refund, but this will depend on availability. For cancellations made five or fewer working days before the event, we will refund 60% of your fee, and retain 40% to cover our costs. Please note that no refund or replacement can be offered for cancellation on the day of the event. Should you wish to cancel your place, please phone 0131 629 9358.

The Edinburgh Remakery is a brand new project based in the heart of Leith, led by social enterprise Remade in Edinburgh. It offers to its customers, retail and workspace areas, with a focus on quality products and services, where they are able to: -Buy refurbished computers and second-hand furniture. -Donate second hand technology, textiles and furniture. -Learn to fix textiles, computers, mobile phones, and furniture??. -Participate in skill-learning workshops and courses. The Edinburgh Remakery provides affordable and well-designed creative opportunities for individuals and groups; including workshops, free events, and training. Working in partnership with the University of Edinburgh and CHAI, The Edinburgh Remakery is one of five RE-use and Repair Hubs located throughout Scotland, which has been made possible with funding granted by Zero Waste Scotland.
