This is a one-day ServSafe Manager Certification Workshop. The class is sponsored by Sysco Houston and will be held at their office that located at 10710 Greens Crossing Blvd, Houston, TX 77038. The class will begin at 8:00 am and the attendees are released upon completion of their certification exam. The cost covers instruction and the exam. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided.
If you have already taken the course online, you may also choose the option to take the exam only. If you are only coming in for the exam you should be at the Sysco Central Texas office by 3:30 pm day of the class.
Due to limited seating, the tickets are non-refundable. You may send someone in your place or you may contact Missy to rebook for a different date. There is a $50 rescheduling fee.
Sysco Central Texas customers with active accounts can register online and be billed through Sysco.
Cancellation policy Cancellation must be made the Friday prior to the class. The class can be reassigned to a different person without cancellation. There is no refund on no-shows and there is a $50 rescheduling fee to attend another class date, if not cancelled 5-days prior to the class.

Missy Hernandez graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a Bachelor’s of Social Work in 1981 and from the University of Texas, Austin, with a Master’s in Business Administration in 1985. Missy has worked in the food service industry for over 39 years, starting in food service operations. For the past 30 years, she has been in the food service distribution business. She began her career in food service distribution at Frostex Foods in sales and after Kraft General Foods acquired Frostex she moved into sales management. In 1994 she began working for Sysco Central Texas as the Sales Training Manager and retired as the Senior Director of Training and Development. As of January 2016, Missy retired from Sysco and now operates FocalPoint Coaching as certified small and mid-sized business coach and trainer. Her husband, Rudy, is a restaurant consultant. Missy does training on food safety and customer service, life management & communications, and sales & management training. To date, Missy has successfully provided ServSafe Manager training to over 5000 people. She has been a speaker at the Texas Dietary Managers Annual Conference and does many continuing education courses at regional conferences. She holds training certifications from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, Development Dimensions International, Franklin Covey, Brain Tracy International, and John C Maxwell.
