Hay Press Open House

Hay Press Company, in collaboration with the Ontario Hay and Forage Cooperative are celebrating the launch of Ontario’s premier Hay Press on April 23rd with an open house!  Now accessible to Ontario hay producers and brokers, the hay press can process up to 16 tonnes per hour and has compaction capabilities required for the export hay market. This is a real game changer for Ontario Hay Producers!

The open house will highlight the benefits of using the press for hay producers and will include live demonstrations of both the flat pack and bundling system. Additionally, producers will have the opportunity to view a full-scale commercial hay storage and drying operation through our location partners Marhaven Agri and Chinook Hay Dryers.

Hay Press Company is Ontario's premier commercial scale hay press company. The press enables hay producers to provide small square bales to customers, while maintaining speed and efficiency in the field with large square balers. Additionally, Hay Press Company provides compaction services for the OHFC to fulfill the expanding export hay market. The Ontario Hay and Forage Co-operative was formed to develop and serve overseas markets with high-quality, purpose-grown, double-compacted hay. The Co-operative’s aim is to increase returns for producers who are currently producing high-quality hay or want to add it to their crop rotations.
