The Business Corners, 200 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, New York, 11788, United States.

Come join old and new colleagues for an evening of food, fun and networking!

The Happy Social Worker Society is a unique monthly social networking experience for social workers and human services professionals.  What makes us unique, you ask?

You get to eat good food and meet great people (or mingle with ones we already know) in a laid back, yet fun, social environment.  Not your run of the mill networking event (smile)

You get pampered...we really mean it.  Each month we'll feature pampering services that may include massage, Reiki & energy healing, and more.  We want you to walk away feeling recharged and renewed!  Hey, you do awesome work that can be taxing.  You deserve a little pampering.

If you are a NY licensed social worker or CASAC, you will walk away with one CE hour!  Each month we will feature a different one-hour workshop that will not only enrich your professional practice, but more importantly your own life!

Join us on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, 6:30pm-8:30pm as we enjoy a workshop:

NEW TECHNIQUES IN GUIDED MEDITATION

In psychotherapy, guided meditation has been used to address a wide range of concerns. It may be used in conjunction with other behavioral modification techniques and/or medication, or it may be used as a standalone tool for therapists. Existing research suggests that guided meditation has been used effectively in psychotherapy for:

·         Prevention and early intervention of eating disorders

·         Stress

·         Anxiety

·         Improving mood

·         Depression

·         Drug and Alcohol Abuse

Join us as we learn about...and demonstrate…a few new techniques for using guided meditation with your clients, and for yourself!

UPON COMPLETION OF THIS WORKSHOP, YOU WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE FOR 1 CE HOUR!

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
