THIS TRAINING IS ONLY OPEN TO INVITED PARTICIPANTS.

The Green Dot Strategy is a new and innovative approach to violence prevention. Green Dot harnesses the power of individual choices to shift social norms, resulting in broad-based culture change. Green Dot is based on a wealth of interdisciplinary research including social change theory, diffusion of innovation, communication, marketing, bystander intervention, and perpetration patterns. Visit our website to learn more about the Green Dot curriculum.

This 4-day training certifies attendees to implement the Green Dot Violence Prevention Strategy in their community. Components of the training include:

- A comprehensive review of the research and theories which inform the Green Dot Strategy.
- Elements of the Green Dot Strategy and curriculum.
- Developing an implementation plan.

Attendees experience an interactive and intriguing 4 days of training which inspire renewed hope and a vision for a safer world.

You must attend the entire training (9am to 5pm daily) to become a Green Dot Community instructor.

-Parking-

National Grange Mutual/Main Street America Group has given us permission to use their overflow parking. The location is the south side of Gilbo Ave toward the School Street end.  There will be sawhorses in place with signage that states the 40 spaces are reserved for you.

VERY IMPORTANT – the area provided is the only area your group can park.  If anyone parks outside the designated area, they are subject to being towed.  If you have over 40 vehicles, they are not authorized to use any other parking belonging to the Grange.  Please, please reiterate this info to your group.  I would hate for anyone to be towed and because the Grange is being so accommodating, I wouldn’t want to spoil it for future use!
