The Effective Speaking Workshop ends soon, and it's time to celebrate the success of the graduates. Join us for a catered celebration lunch, in a downtown banquet hall.

Effective Speaking Workshop

Why invest in a course when there are thousands of free speaking tips on the internet? Because there is no substitute for coached practice. You didn't learn to drive a car by watching YouTube videos.

In our courses, every student practices every technique in front of the group, and receives friendly, personal coaching from a team of trained instructors.  

The Effective Speaking Workshop covers most techniques from our 11-week CLC1 introductory course in three Saturday mornings (9:30 am to 12:30 pm)  and an included Sunday graduation lunch. Graduates are well-prepared to speak at a business meeting, or a special occasion such as a wedding or anniversary. It's fast paced fun, with a small class size and lots of personal coaching. 

Learn to:

•   read prepared text smoothly in public

•   quickly construct and confidently deliver a speech that will get your point across in two minutes or less

•   introduce or thank a speaker 

•   present an award

•   and more, all in a fun, supportive setting.

If you find public speaking scary, you may wish to take the full CLC1 course, which offers even more opportunities to practice speaking and build your confidence. If you don't have that much time, ESW will teach you the skills you need.
