Carole Dobrich is a co-director for Health e-Learning-IIHL Online Lactation Education and Step2 Education International online education for the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative®. She has been involved with research related to lactation, ankyloglossia, domperidone, nipple wounds and vasospasm. She has developed the Frenotomy Decision Tool for Breastfeeding Dyads. She co-founded the HFPC-Goldfarb Breastfeeding Clinic and founded the first bilingual lactation education program in Quebec.
Dr. Lenore Goldfarb, PhD, CCC, IBCLC, ALC is a Certified Canadian Counsellor, an IBCLC, a researcher & a co-founder of the Jewish General Hospital-Goldfarb Breastfeeding Clinic, Qubec. She is the president of the Canadian Breastfeeding Foundation & a director/educator for the International institute of Human Lactation, Health e-Learning.com & Step 2 Education International Inc. A co-author of Newman-Goldfarb Protocols for Induced Lactation®, she speaks worldwide on topics of lactation.
Yasmin is an IBCLC & a Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioner. Her special interests lies in Infant oral and sucking dysfunction & also tongue tie treatment & rehabilitation for all ages. Her work has been published in the International Journal of Laser Dentistry (IJLD) and in a textbook of laser dentistry and currently she is pursing self-funded research assignments on the subject of tongue tie. She is also the producer of the acclaimed international documentary film 'Untying BREASTFEEDING'
Kris has been passionate about supporting breastfeeding since she started her midwifery training in 1988. For the last 14 or so years she has been working in neonatal intensive care supporting mothers with sick or premature babies to achieve their breastfeeding goals.
Kathy Parkes is a registered nurse, IBCLC, and Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association (FILCA) with over 30 years of experience in lactation management and education. Now a published author, her first book, “Perspectives in Lactation: Is Private Practice for Me?” Kathy has worked in multiple lactation settings, including the hospital, private practice, education, home health care, and in the US-based Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program.
Kathie is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and has served as a neonatologist, and member of the Human Milk Research Center, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Hartford, Connecticut. She is co-Medical Director of the HMBANA Mothers' Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes. She has authored many chapters, research papers, and ABM protocols.
Odile discovered breastfeeding with the birth of her 1st son in 1988 and with the her breastfeeding experiences of her other 4 sons. Each birth brought her a new perspective on that wonderful breastfeeding relationship. Being a La Leche Leader for many years has taught her about normal breastfeeding. She has been an IBCLC since 2001 and works part time in a tertiary level breastfeeding clinic and some private practice as well.
Melanie has explored many levels of the Canadian (Quebec) health care system as a perinatal health nurse after she graduated from McGill University in 1997. She has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2000 and is currently living with her family in British Columbia, Canada. She also works on the translation of many documents from associations in the field of human lactation.
Divya Deswal, former civil engineer chose a new path and certified as a Childbirth Educator, Birth Labour Doula & a HypnoBirthing Practitioner. The childbirth classes led by Divya Deswal are created specifically to meet the needs of her clients. They have mind-body-spirit holistic approach to birth.
