COVID 19 information:

The Global Clubfoot Initiative, in conjunction with partners and host venues, is actively monitoring novel coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from Public Health England and the World Health Organization (WHO) and responding based on the best advice of medical professionals and public health authorities.

We recognise that with the present situation, many people will be unable to travel and attend events in the next few months.

We’d like to reassure you that the Global Clubfoot Initiative is making contingency plans to continue to offer you our training in some form or other whilst protecting our delegates, partners and speakers from unnecessary exposure to the virus. With this in mind:

·       Our October Training in Manchester is scheduled to take place in the format of blended learning, with only one day face to face for the practical training that is an essential part of the learning on this course.

·       We are actively monitoring novel coronavirus (COVID-19) updates as above and will take any action necessary as required. In the case of us having to cancel the face to face training because of this guidance we will offer a full refund of fees or offer to transfer the fees to the rescheduled event in 2021. We will of course try to offer as much notice as possible.

·       We understand as well that there may be circumstances that mean you might not be able to attend training last minute due to Covid, perhaps because you have to self-isolate, your location comes under movement restrictions or your NHS trust has cancelled your study leave. In this case, it would be helpful to us if you would allow your fee to be carried over to a future training, as we are a charity, but we understand that might not always be possible. If a transfer is not possible, we will be able to refund 50% of the fees which is pro rata to the face to face part of the course. Please refer to our cancellation policy in other circumstances at https://globalclubfoot.com/trainingtandcs/

·       Once you are booked to attend an event, we will be in regular contact to confirm the steps we are taking to comply with all guidelines and any other event updates.

·       If you are showing any of the symptoms of Covid 19 on the days or in the week leading up to the face to face event please do not attend.

·       We will take implement the most current and best practice advice to promote low infection risk at the face to face event, including but not limited to social distancing, wearing of face masks and other PPE, regular handwashing and hand gel application and the availability of all these at all times and enhanced cleaning regimes. The exact nature of these measures will be detailed in the risk assessment that we carry out in the run up to the event to ensure that our assessment is as most up to date with guidelines and best practice as possible, and ensure that any of our suppliers do likewise.

·       We have tried to be as comprehensive as possible with the points above, but if there is anything else, we can help with, we will endeavour to respond to enquiries about the event as soon as possible. Please contact training@globalclubfoot.org in the first instance with these questions.

Our apologies for any inconvenience these changes may cause, but the wellbeing of our delegates, speakers, staff, and partners remains our top priority and will govern all our decisions concerning this event.
