Give a Girl a Sword Day is an international event to introduce women & girls to historical fencing, and at DHFA you'll learn why the two-handed longsword was the great equalizer. If you've ever wanted to be a badass swordfighter, now is your chance.

The workshop will be lead by the instructors and students of DHFA.

This workshop will be 2 hours long and go over the fundamentals of fencing, strategic use of the longsword, and a couple of super cool moves thrown in. You'll even be able to fight with safety weapons and see what you're made of.

After class, we'll head over to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot for food, drinks, and conversation.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations are allowed up to 1 week before the event. Within 1 week, cancellations are allowed, but no refund is available.

Denver Historical Fencing Academy is dedicated to raising awareness about historical fencing, both as a set of martial arts as well as a burgeoning sport. DHFA is an inclusive, welcoming club to folks from all walks of life, where ever they may come from.
