Westcountry Rivers Ltd is delivering a 4-day GIS training event in Leeds, consisting of a 2-day introductory course, followed by a 2-day advanced course.  Participants may wish to attend one or both courses.  Both are designed to support environmental practitioners (particularly those involved with the national Catchment Based Approach initiative) to visualise and analyse environmental data with the aim of understanding issues and targeting interventions across a river catchment. The courses make use of datasets provided in the CaBA data packages, helping users to become familiar with these datasets and to understand how they can be used within the field of environmental/river management.

Important information:

  • Each 2-day course costs £500+VAT (with a discounted price of £300+VAT for non-profits and students).
  • Participants must bring their own laptops with ArcMap installed.
  • It is free to register your booking on Eventzilla, however after registering we will contact you to arrange payment for the course.

Cancellation policy

A £100 deposit is required upon booking onto a course.  If you choose to cancel more than 14 days before the course date, only the deposit shall be paid.  If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the course, the full ticket payment is due.

In the event of receiving insufficient participant numbers to hold a course, we will notify you beforehand and a full refund shall be made.
