The GATRA Education Committee presents in the

2020 Lunch and Learn Series:

 Abstracting COVID-19 - A Registrars Guide

Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 12:00pm - 1:30pm Eastern Time

grab your lunch and come join us as we navigate the covid-19 disease and what we as abstractors are asked to capture specifically in the data regarding this disease.

Overview: A presentation on the disease from a doctoral nurse practitioner followed by a presentation on how to code COVID-19 in the cancer registry abstract per SEER guidelines.

Primary objectives:

• Explain what Covid-19 is and how it is tested
• Explain what is on the horizon of this disease
• Answer previously submitted questions regarding Covid-19 
• Review general instruction for documenting Covid-19 in the abstract
• Discuss the required NAACCR text data items and how items need to be entered in the text
• Provide examples of how to put the text in the abstracts

This event will be hosted with Zoom and is free for 2020 GATRA members and $5.00 for non 2020 GATRA members. The Zoom link will be provided to registered attendees after the close of registration.

Payments can be made online or by check. Please refer to the payment information at registration. Deadline for registration is Monday August 31, 2020.
