The Newcastle Law School in collaboration with CIFAL Newcastle and the Tom Farrell Institute, present Associate Professor Sven Rudolph from Kyoto University who is currently researching the Political Economy of a Sustainable Climate and Energy Policy Mix.
The United Nations Paris Agreement on Climate Change was adopted by consensus in December 2015 as one of the frameworks forming the UN Development Agenda for 2030. It was described as a historic turning point in the goal of reducing global warming. This seminar provides an analysis of the Paris Agreement and its implementation and its challenges within the Australian political context with a focus on carbon markets.
