About the Event
Lent is a season where Christians intentionally attend to their relationship with God and what may be getting in the way of that relationship. Many respond with fasting, prayer or various forms of repentance. This retreat will be an opportunity to listen for the invitation not only for relationship but friendship with God. There may be obstacles in our lives which work against this call to friendship. The day will include times of prayer, silence and listening for the movements of the Spirit as well as brief teaching times.
About the Presenter
Dan Heavenor has been offering spiritual direction and leading spiritual retreats for over 15 years. A former pastor, Dan now offers spiritual direction part time, as well as weekend retreats and courses on spirituality and prayer. His full time job is driving a bus for Translink. His passion and calling is to walk with others as they seek after God, ask their questions and live their journey with God in all its complexity and uniqueness. Dan is a Regent College grad and recently completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in the area of Imaginative Prayer and Ignatian Spirituality at Carey. Dan is married to Andrea and they have a son (and daughter-in-law) and three daughters.
Cancellation policy Cancellations accepted up to the one week prior to the event. Registrants who have purchased meals who wish to cancel must notify the oranizer a minimum of 48 hours prior to the event or the cost of the meal will be deducted from the registration fee.
