Ride the paved John Warner Parkway trail or the natural surface Triangle Trails. Both trails are easy to access from Charlottesville Skate Park. Adult and child bike sizes (ages 6 and up) and helmets are available.
Bike rentals are located at the Charlottesville Skate Park restrooms building.
Renters must leave an ID or car keys with park staff when picking up their rental, which will be returned when the bike is returned. Participants are required to sign a liability waiver before riding.
Remember to bring plenty of water with you for the ride. Rental does not include water or a water bottle.
If there is a high chance of inclement weather, staff will cancel the program and notify registered riders.
Maintain at least 6 feet between your bike and other riders/walkers. Give a warning when passing others. Wear a bike helmet at all times.
Do not ride if you have any symptoms of the coronavirus (mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing), or other symptoms identified by the CDC.
Do not ride if you have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or if you have a serious underlying health condition.
Riders must wear a mask during the check-in and check out process for the safety of park staff, and use hand sanitizer before handling the bike. All bikes and helmets will be sanitized prior to rental. Please return bikes 10 minutes prior to the end of the rental window to allow for sanitation before the next rental.
