HISTORY WALKING TOUR

We will walk through Old Town Bluffton and discuss the history of the town from the early 1800s through the 20th century, including its importance during the Civil War and in the early 20th century. 

Walking distance is approximately 2 miles; the tour will last 1 to 1.5 hours. There will be two tours offered to make adjustments for upper and lower grade levels. Students need to dress for outdoor environmental education: sturdy shoes, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc. Please check the weather.

We will begin at the Heyward House on Boundary St in downtown Bluffton, Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.

LUNCH 
Families may bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at Dubois (Shrimp Boat) Park after the tour. This is optional, but will be a nice time together with friends.
