Field Trip: Dolphin Watch

DOLPHIN WATCH CRUISE, all ages 
2 and under are free
$6 students / $12 adults

The boat ride is about 1 hr and 45 minutes long. Captain Mark will narrate on the way out. He tells you about all the nice homes and harbors along the way, the history of the island, and about any wildlife you see (birds, dolphins, etc).

You will begin at Shelter Cove, which is almost at the end of Broad Creek, and you'll go out into Calibogue Sound, where he will tell you about the bridge to the island, Daufuskie Island, Buck Island, and also Harbortown. On the way back, he doesn't narrate, so that you may have a nice ride back, just enjoying the sights.

Captain Mark has lived on the island for over 35 years, so he's a wealth of information (and some silly jokes of course), It's a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours.

LOCATION:

Park at Shelter Cove Harbour and walk down to the docks. Find the Holiday at Dock C. 

COST AND REGISTRATION:

Please bring cash for your family’s cruise payment. This will assist us in boarding efficiently. Registration is required as there is limited capacity on the boat. 

FAMILY EDUCATION

• While we hope that you enjoy a fun, educational, and memorable field trip to each program, please remember that our school group programs are an extension of each family's class day. We ask our hosts to aim for educational quality. 
• For this program, older children will be allowed to move around but we ask that your students remain under constant supervision. No roughhousing!
• Be considerate! Remind your students that there are attendees who wish to hear the narrative. 
  
• Space limitations will prohibit strollers. 
• There are snack concessions onboard. Consider supporting our host in this way. 
• Consider proper attire such as sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, scarves, non-slip shoes, etc.
