Periodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in the U.S.
In the last few decades, much advancement has been made in implant therapy. As implant therapy is currently the new standard of care for tooth replacement, it is important for every dental practitioner to understand the periodontal surgeries available to predictably save teeth.
In today’s group presentation, we will review four different types of periodontal surgery: Crown Lengthening, Guided Tissue Regeneration, Pocket Reduction Surgery, and Soft Tissue Grafting.
For each type of surgery, the presenter will review the overall concepts, present appropriate clinical cases, and introduce changes and innovations regarding the surgical procedure.
