Festival Chorale Oregon opens its 45th anniversary season by returning to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mount Angel to perform Edward Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius. Considered Elgar's finest choral work, the piece is based on the poem by John Henry Newman and follows the journey of a man's soul through death, judgment, and purgatory. Do not miss your opportunity to hear a masterpiece less often performed for American audiences. Founding Artistic Director Dr. Solveig Holmquist conducts the chorale and orchestra with soloists Hannah Penn, Les Green, and Zachary Lenox.
