Enhancing father involvement, increases parental competency, improves parent-child and co-parent relationships, and promotes healthy child development. The goal of this training is to provide information regarding the developmental effects fathers have on their children. This training will also explain the developmental and physical changes fathers go through in becoming a parent. This training will provide an understanding in how fathers can be successful nurturers, how DCF staff can support the father and child relationship and how to assist fathers’ involvement in their child’s life.
