Palestinian composer and pianist Faraj Suleiman combines the Arab rhythms and melodies of his music with jazz and tango. He first touched a piano at the age of three, and he played his first concert when he was only five. Following classical training, this musical genius explored new ways of combining his many eastern and western influences, whether in solo piano pieces, quartets, accompanied by a female choir or accompanied by an orchestra.

MahraJazz – Haifa Alternative Jazz Festival, is a Palestinian underground music event (non-profit and volunteer-based) running for its second year. The festival aims to bring to Haifa some of the best up-and-coming contemporary jazz. Over two weekends, different venues will be hosting us for some great music performances, workshops, live sets, food stalls and summer drinks.
