The morning will focus on social and emotional learning, with a keynote address given by Dr. Marc Brackett, founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. A special session for high school students, the Our Minds Matter Teen Summit, will take place in the morning as well.

Student Strand Our Minds Matter Summit (9:30am - 12:30 pm): FOR STUDENTS ONLY Partial Approval

Eighth through twelfth-grade school students are invited to participate in the Our Minds Matter Teen Summit, hosted by Josh Anderson Foundation. Attendees will begin to understand mental wellness and its similarities to physical wellness and how risk and protective factors related to their mental health status. Additionally, participants will practice various positive coping skills to identify the ones that work best for them. Attendees will also connect with peers from other schools in Fairfax County and the greater Northern Virginia area, creating a unified group of teens passionate about reducing mental health stigma and promoting mental wellness. Our Minds Matter club leaders and members will gain key information, resources, and skills for a successful year ahead!

**IMPORTANT UPDATE: Old Lee Hwy will be closed from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Northbound Old Lee Hwy traffic will be detoured onto Rebel Run to Fairfax Boulevard toward Fairfax Circle. Southbound Old Lee Hwy will not be permitted beyond Ridge Road, so through traffic should travel Fairfax Boulevard to Rebel Run to Old Lee Hwy. Delays might occur so please plan accordingly.

Welcome to the registration site for the Fairfax County Public Schools Mental Health and Wellness Conference and the Inova Act on Addiction Summit: Bridging the Gap for Young Adults. The event will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm ET at Fairfax High School.

Your registration will secure access to keynote presentations, informative panels, breakout discussions and unique exhibits. Presentations will be repeated in Breakout Sessions for each conference. Please review the session descriptions below before beginning the reigstration process. Additional sessions and descriptions may be updated in the coming weeks.
