Faces & Figures - 5 Week Drawing Course / Beginners
This course is designed for beginners to intermediate drawers 16yrs+ looking to increase their proficiency and confidence in capturing the human face and figure accurately. The course will begin with basic forms, mediums and techniques that will increase in difficulty as the weeks progress and finished with a tutored session with a live model.
The full course is 5 weeks but a few spots are offered for a 4 week course for those that do not desire a session with a live model.
Where: The course will take place inside my relaxed and comfortable studio space at Gasworks Arts Park, Albert Park. The studio is located opposite the Priscilla Jones cafe on the Graham Street side of the park. The light will be on and the door will be open so you won't miss it. When: The course will begin on Thursday 20th February and run until Thursday 12th March or Thursday 19th March (depending on whether you have purchased the 4 or 5 week course). Class time is 7.30-9.30pm.
What to bring: Nothing! All paper and mediums will be provided but if you would like to bring paper, pencils, pens etc that you prefer using you are very welcome to. Water and a basic selection of teas will be available for refreshment. Tickets are not required for this event but please have your mobile handy incase there is any (unlikely) mix up with ticket sales.
Cancellation: Course bookings are refundable up to 10 days prior to the course starting date. After this time a 50% cancellation fee will occur if your place can not be filled on the course (so please check your diaries!). Life does happen so if you can not make it to a class during the course period a make up session at one of the casual open studio times will be offered. These sessions are not tutored but I will make myself available where possible to guide you through the missed class excercises.
