Fabaceae, which is the third largest family among flowering plants after the Orchid and Aster families, are the focus of this particular workshop. Not only might this workshop interest botanists in training, but also those interested in our pollinators and butterflies, for many of these plants play an important role in the life cycle of these insects. Participants can expect a thorough introduction to this family and their main anatomical features and also opportunities to view and examine specimens both from the field, and in the field.
