Virtual Experience Rating & Classification Overview

The Experience Rating & Classification course is designed to help agents better understand the intricacies of how the mod affects the policyholder. As a result, the agent will be able to discuss the specific components that impact their mod and how it has a direct impact on their client’s premium. The agent will be able to relate to the customer how the mod is created and the difference between frequency and severity. 

The Workers’ Compensation Classifications section introduces agents to the various situations they may encounter with workers’ compensation classifications. The agent will have an enhanced knowledge of the standards and possible exceptions they may encounter and knowing the resources available to assist with the classification process. They will be educated on some common misclassifications and how they may lead to fraudulent activity. Finally, they will learn the 20 rules the IRS has adopted to determine whether workers are employees. At the end of this course the agent will be a strong advocate of the classification process for their client.

Virtual class offering with less impact on your schedule (PC camera and microphone strongly encouraged)

2 hours of Continuing Education credits, depending on your state of license
