This year OCIMF is encouraging broader engagement and participation at the Regional Marine Forums, both from within the OCIMF membership and from the wider marine industry.

The Regional Marine Forums are a great opportunity for you to meet members of the secretariat, learn about OCIMF’s current and upcoming projects and to share critical safety and environmental issues and concerns facing the industry within the Europe and Africa region.

Join us to hear exciting news about OCIMF programmes, publications and the latest information from the Secretariat.

The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) is a voluntary association of oil companies with an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil, oil products, petrochemicals and gas.

Dave Wall
Senior Technical Adviser, OCIMF

Dave joined Chevron Shipping as a 3rd engineer in their international fleet and rose through the ranks to eventually sail as Chief Engineer on lightering ships and VLCCs. Dave is seconded to OCIMF from Chevron where he has held several leadership roles in Chevron Shipping throughout the past 30 years. Most recently Dave held the manager’s position in the Marine Services group in San Ramon.

Stefanos K. Stylianos
HSQE & Marine Manager/DPA

Stefanos joined Minerva Marine in August 2017 as DPA and Manager of HSQE and Marine departments. He is proud to be a member of maritime working groups promoting maritime safety and best practices including ITOSF, founding member of Hellenic Maritime HSQE forum and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Vetting Committee of INTERTANKO. Stefanos joined Minerva from Shell where he worked in their Quality Assurance team in London.

Robert Brook
Marine Assurance. Regional Marine Superintendent and OCIMF Regional Champion for Europe and Africa

Bob joined the British Royal Navy in 1983, sailing as a Junior Engineer on Frigates. He served in the West Indies in the Huracane disaster relief, and whilst in the Persian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq war he was part of the Nato taskforce escorting Tankers in and out of the Gulf. He joined Chevron Shipping in 1990, as a Engineer Officer. His last job at sea was on the Capricorn Voyager, training cadets. He came ashore in 2007 as Training Officer and joined the Marine assurance team in 2010.

Nikolaos Michas
Tanker Segment Manager for South East Europe and Middle East, DNV GL

Nikolaos is the Tanker Segment Manager for DNVGL SE Europe & Middle East in Piraeus. He worked for DNVGL in China for 11 years as QHSE & Production Manager, District Manager, and Shipyard Site Manager. Before joining DNV GL, Nikolaos worked as Superintendent Engineer and has sea-going experience. Nikolaos holds a Master of Eng from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a Master in Business Admin from the University of Hertfordshire. He is a Certified Project Manager Professional from PMI.

Ricardo Martinez
Technical Adviser (Engineering)

Ricardo began his career at sea in 1991 sailing as an engineer in the United States Navy. After that he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Ricardo joined Chevron in 2004 and has worked their Technical, Operations and Safety departments. In his last role in Chevron he was involved in an advocacy and regulatory affairs network that included OCIMF. In 2018, Ricardo joined the OCIMF Secretariat as Technical Advisor – Engineering for a 3-year secondment.

Katerina Kritharaki
Marine Risk Assessor - Inspections Coordinator, Motor Oil Hellas Vetting Dpt. (Med Trust Marine Ltd.)

Katerina joined the vetting department of Motor Oil Hellas (Med Trust Marine) in 2015 as a Marine Risk Assessor and Inspections Coordinator. She has been engaged in the Maritime field for the past 10 years with the last 8 years being in positions related to Marine Risk Assurance and SIRE Inspections. Katerina is holder of a BSc title in Maritime Studies and a MSc title in Business Administration (MBA).

Ton Mol
Manager Safety Management & Operations, Interstream Barging

Ton joined Interstream Barging in 2002 (at that time Van der Sluijs tankrederij). Before that he sailed as Chief mate on container vessels (short sea) and started in 1987 on multipurpose vessels. At Interstream Barging he worked as marine superintendent & ADN-safety advisor at the department safety management & operations, and since 2019 he is the manager of that department.

Remy Bouman
QSHE Manager, VT Group

After 24 years at Exxon Mobil in several positions of which most of them related to shipping, Remy crossed over to work as a QSHE manager for an operator that operates both inland and seagoing vessels dealing with the many challenges that this work brings along with it. Participating in several workgroups within the industry and the authorities, holding the chair of the working group of ISGINTT (International Safety Guidelines for Inland Barging and Terminals) and the CTGG inland barging (Central transport of dangerous group).

Tassos Kyrkos
Sales Manager, Coral Marine

Tassos joined Shell Gas as a project engineer and HSSE Advisor and worked in the LGP depot of Athens. He then moved to sales positions in the LPG and retail fuel departments of Coral S.A. (Shell Licensee) and today he is the Sales Manager of Coral Marine. Coral Marine is a physical supplier in Greece, operating a fleet of trucks and barges that deliver a variety of marine fuels throughout the country. Tassos holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA degree.

Patrick McGroggan
OCIMF Compliance Manager

Patrick joined OCIMF as Compliance Manager from ConocoPhillips where he was working within a joint industry project to enhance industry subsea well containment response capabilities. Following more than 20 years sailing on oil tankers, breakbulk, bulkers, RORO and survey vessels, of which 8 years as Master with Maersk Line Ltd on their US oil tanker fleet, Patrick joined ConocoPhillips as Marine Terminal Adviser.

Andy Dogherty
ISGOTT Project Adviser

Andrew Dogherty’s career began in 1975 with Houlder Brothers on oil, gas and chemical tankers. In 1980 he joined ExxonMobil where he served for 33 years in a variety of marine assignments including; ship and terminal operations, marine quality assurance and HSSE. Andrew’s experience also includes 2 years with BG Group, assignments to the OCIMF Secretariat as Deputy Director, Ports & Terminals Committee Chairman, Chairman of the MEG4 revision Steering Group and currently ISGOTT Project Adviser.

Rosa Antidormi
Policy Officer - Maritime Transport Sustainability at European Commission

Rosa Antidormi is a senior policy officer of the European Commission services at the Directorate-General for Environment. In the Clean Air unit she is in charge of EU policy development and implementation on air pollution reduction from maritime transport. She is in the EC Delegation to the International Maritime Organisation in relation to sulphur regulation. Previously, she was scientific officer at the Directorate-General for Research & Innovation in the field of fusion energy. Her previous employers included the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique (F) and the Joint Research Centre (NL).

Costas Morfinos
Technical Director, Maran Tankers

Costas started his career as a Naval Architect in a Piraeus based Marine Services company where he worked for five years before moving to the technical department of a ship management company as Superintendent Engineer. He later joined the Angelicoussis Group where he has worked for the last 19 years in the technical department holding positions of Superintendent Engineer and Senior Fleet Manager before moving to his current position as Technical Director of Maran Tankers Management Inc.

Dom McKnight Hardy
Director, MIS Marine

Dominic is Managing Director of MIS, a technology firm focussed on the specific needs of organisations involved in marine assurance activities. MIS develop and operate OCIMF’s programme systems, including SIRE, OVID and MTIS. Holding significant experience within the Marine Assurance sector of the oil and gas industry, Dominic and his team operate exclusively with MA software and work alongside OCIMF secretariat and members in supporting the activities of the programme workgroups.
