The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDPB) Code of Ethics for Prevention Professionals and Prevention Scope of Practice are different than those for other disciplines. This training will review, discuss, and apply the requirements in order to ensure prevention practitioners are operating within the guidelines.

Please note: this training will meet the requirement for those interested in pursuing an OCPSA certification, or for those renewing an OCPSA, OCPS, OCPC certification. For those interested in obtaining an OCPS or OCPC designation, 6.0 contact hours of ethics is required.

Objectives: At the conclusion of this training, attendees will:

·                Be knowledgeable about the Ohio’s Code of Ethics for Prevention Professionals

·                Have a process for determining whether actions are ethical

·                Know where and how to report unethical actions

Class size is limited:  25 individuals.

3 Prevention CEU hours have been approved for this course.

SCHOLARSHIPS:  Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership for Success (SPF PFS) Scholarships are available for certain learning opportunities held in the state of Ohio. If you are a prevention professional working in the state of Ohio, you may apply for a scholarship. Scholarships can cover Registration, Travel/Mileage, Meals (if not provided in training) and Lodging.

Free Parking located behind the building in the Central Parke garage.  Please allow 10 minutes to park/walk into building.

NOTE:  Walk-in registrations the day of the workshop cannot be accomodated. 

 

Cancellation policy

There is no penalty for cancellation before the cancellation deadline, noon on March 19, 2019. Please contact Cathy Born at 513-751-8000 x10 or cborn@prevention-first.org to cancel your registration. If is it necessary for the PreventionFIRST! to cancel a program, registration fees will be returned.

A registrant who cannot attend may avoid forfeiting the registration fee and paying a cancellation fee by providing a substitute from his or her organization to attend the workshop. To arrange for this member to attend, the original registrant should contact Administrative Assistant at PreventionFIRST! at 513-751-8000 or info@prevention-first.org and provide information for the substitute.
