The seminar will cover the following:

  • Presentation of required USCG and CA boating equipment to be carried on board for each size of vessel.

  • Discussion of further suggested items or equipment that the conscientious and safe boater will want to consider having on-board in addition to federal and state requirements.

  • Introduction to Navigation.

  • What is a nautical chart and why do we need to know its contents?

  • Basic chart interpretation and what every boater should know.

  • Marina Del Rey specific navigation.

Please arrive early as we will start promptly at 10am. The seminar is being held at Facility 3 Captain's Lounge

  • Please only one vehicle per guest

  • Park in GREEN visitor parking only

  • Facility #3 is located on the north side of the building. Please follow the signs

  • It is recommended that Uber or carpool be used
