EQUINE STUDIES: Horsemanship

Interested high school homeschoolers are able to join us for quadrants of learning on equine studies; this class is for motivated students that do NOT need redirection.  The first segment will begin Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 1 pm - 3 pm at the Chamounix Equestrian Center in Philadelphia and run for six (6) consecutive Tuesdays ending Tuesday, October 24, 2017.  Participants will learn horse behavior; horse handling; all about riding: SAFETY, saddles, bridle, and cleaning equipment; horse gaits; parts of a horse; and the hoof.

At the conclusion of the first quadrant, the curriculum will advance and another offering will be added.  This will be an all-inclusive large animal study.

Helmets will be provided to participants; however, participants will need to wear long pants and - if they don’t have a pair of LOW-HEELED boots - sneakers.
