The Emergency Medical Technician course provides students with entry-level skills and knowledge to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries.
Come learn from one of the best "Austere Environment" agencies in Colorado. Classes are taught by industry experts who will demonstrate a wide range of specialties, including steep angle rescue, swift water rescue, ice rescue, wildland fire fighting, and backcountry extraction.
Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-10 p.m. and Sundays 1000 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuition covers text books, uniform shirts, clinical fees, and NREMT practical test. Students will be responsible for uniform pants, appropriate footwear, and the fee for the NREMT written exam.
Prerequisites: Must be a minimum of 18 years old by final exam, have completed high school or GED, and meet the requirements outlined in the Functional Position Description (handed out on the first day of class)
