COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The GVH EMT education program in conjuction with Professional EMS Education is a 200+ hour program. The program is designed for all students to become an entry level EMT. The class will cover all components required to be eligible to successfully complete the National Registry Practical and Written exam to obtain your EMT Certification. The class is based on a “Hands On Education” approach. Skills and class interaction will be covered in every class, and we will run ambulance scenarios in the fully stocked training ambulance with a “Real Life Scenarios For Real Life Experience” mindset. The student will be required to successfully complete multiple written and practical skills evaluations through the program. There will also be a final practical examination, which is utilized to assess students' integration of didactic, practical, and clinical instruction.
The breakdown is approximately as follows:
Clinical:24 hours
Lab/Practical:88 hours
Didactic:88 hours
TOTAL:200 hours

Cancellation policy Students whose applications are not accepted into the program will receive a tuition refund minus a $50 application fee. Students who withdraw from the program more than two weeks before the first scheduled class will receive a refund of tuition minus a 20% administrative fee. If a student withdraws from the program with less than two weeks remaining before the first scheduled class, no tuition will be refunded. Students who fail or are dismissed from the program for any reason are not eligible for refunds.
