Emotional Intelligence Training Outline

Learn what emotional intelligence is.

Before we can build the EQ of participants, it is necessary to understand EQ and its meaning. This section will provide the definition for participants and the understanding of the participants in relation to emotional intelligence.

Recognize the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional health

This part of the session will teach participants how dominant emotions can impact our physical and mental health. This knowledge will help the team improve their emotional health and physical health.

Learn how to use and appreciate emotional intelligence at work.

Participants will learn how to control their emotions and be more productive at work. This interactive session will help you to master this skill and how it can be applied in the workplace.

Learn how to manage the emotions

We will be discussing the various emotions one might have to deal or overcome in a work environment. This section will also cover effective management techniques as well as tools that can be used to help participants manage their emotions.

Make a personal vision statement

Participants will be able to create a personal vision statement to help them set a standard for how they should behave each day. The personal vision statement will allow them to return to their neutral, more productive state, whenever they feel emotionally compromised . We will use the information from the session to create a personal vision for each participant.

Understanding the Difference Between Optimism & Pessimism

The difference in how you see the cup is half-full or empty is the same as optimism. Understanding the differences between them will enable us to transform the mindsets of participants from one that is mostly negative to one that is overwhelmingly positive. This will make a huge impact on the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the organization to which they are attached.

Validate Emotions in Other People

It can be uplifting to see others validate our emotions. It is crucial that we are able to validate others' emotions. Employees will feel valued if they have this attitude at work. This will result in a positive effect at work that will allow employees to perform at their best.
