The Emory Percutaneous Intervention Course is the longest running annual interventional cardiology event in the world. Based on the teachings of founder Dr. Andreas Gruentzig, EPIC has provided training for thousands of interventional cardiologists from the United States and abroad since 1981. The meeting’s mission is to engage interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons specializing in coronary and structural heart disease to further enhance the care of their patients, mentor and train future generations of cardiovascular specialists, and lead front-line clinical research in the field.
The meeting will seek to fill an unmet need in interventional cardiology-practical teaching of complex and innovative techniques in an interactive live case format. Twelve cases will be performed and will be available on demand.
Invited guest operators will showcase new frontiers in the management of chronic total occlusions and complex structural heart disease. The live cases will be augmented by faculty-based lectures and discussions. For added educational value, invited faculty panelists will deliver practical teaching points relevant to the presented topics.
EPIC 2024 is a hybrid event and includes lives cases streaming with in-person moderators, guest operators, and limited capacity for in-person attendance with CME accreditation.
