The CHHS and the office of DEeL have collaborated to develop, implement, and facilitate a faculty roundtable that will identify challenge areas encountered when pivoting to a virtual delivery model, discuss potential solutions, and determine next steps that will prepare the university and college for future emergency response situations.

The roundtable will begin with a brief introduction from the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Director of e-Learning. Then, participants will be placed in breakout rooms (topic chosen at time of registration) with a discussion leader. The roundtable will wrap up with a post-breakout room debrief and final collective conversation.

Our first roundtable of the summer will include the following breakout sessions and facilitators:

  • Internship, Clinical, and Field Placements (ICFP) – Options to facilitate ICFP requirements when an embedded experience is not available.
    • Facilitator: April Matthias - SON
  • Policy Change - Policies in need of adjustment during emergency response situations.
    • Facilitator: Jessica Van Meter - SHAHS
  • Academic Integrity - Software and pedagogical solutions for improving the integrity of online courses, particularly online assessment environments.
    • Facilitator: Kris Hohn - SWK
  • Communications - A mechanism for communicating best practices for structuring tests, maintaining "high touch" with students, and other important components of online delivery.
    • Facilitator: Amy Olsen - SHAHS

(Be sure to add-on the breakout session that you wish to attend before checking out! Please note, registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each breakout session has 10 available seats)
