The All-Island Innovation Programme is an InterTradeIreland funded programme established to promote and encourage innovation across the island.

For our next Innovation event of 2019, UCC are delighted to announce an innovation masterclass by Professor Thomas Lawton (https://www.cubsucc.com/faculty-directory/thomas-lawton/on December 19th 2019.  Professor Lawton is Professor of Strategy and International Business here at Cork University Business School, holds visiting professorships at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (USA) and Surrey Business School (UK) and is author of multiple research outputs including the influential books 'Breakout Strategy' (2007) and 'Aligning for Advantage' (2014)

Professor Lawton's Master Class (11.45am-12.45pm) entitled "Eight Practices for Irish SME's entering New International Markets" explores the opportunities of internationalisation and the challenges that need to be managed when entering a new market. Following Professor Lawton's masterclass, there will be an IntertradeIreland briefing on the 'Opportunities and benefits of cross-border trade and innovation'.  The masterclass will take place on Thursday. December 19th 2019, in the Library Creative Zone (Ground Floor- Main Campus).  Attendance is free but registration in advance is required due to room capacity and catering.

Following the masterclass, there will be a buffet lunch (hopefully with some festive mince pies) to nurture conversation and to close out what has been an exceptional speaker line-up for 2019 (Bessant, Robbins, Vanhaverbeke and Lawton)
