Waste dump design and backfill engineering is a critical aspect of geotechnical engineering for underground and open pit operations. Ensuring that design specifications are adequate, QAQC is effective and that implementation goes as planned is key to ensuring the longevity of an operation.
In this workshop, the EAGCG explore challenges, lessons learnt, new technologies and design principles of backfill and waste dump design with presenters both from active mining operations, consultancies and suppliers.
