Marriott Hotel, Hamburger Allee 2, Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main, 60486 , Germany.

D-Wave, the leader in quantum computing, continues to advance its revolutionary quantum computing technology. In 2017 we announced our latest system, the 2000-qubit D-Wave 2000Q system, and the first customer for this system, Temporal Defense Systems, who will work on cyber security applications. We are also making strides in building the software layers needed to make quantum computing more accessible to developers and end users, and fostering a new ecosystem of quantum software.

At this seminar we will discuss quantum computing, the D-Wave 2000Q system and software, and how it can be applied to problems in optimization, machine learning, and sampling. In addition, a speaker from Volkswagen will discuss a recent project in which they used a D-Wave system to optimize traffic flow using data from 10,000 taxis in Beijing.

Agenda:

  • The state of quantum computing
  • Introduction to the D-Wave 2000Q quantum computer, the most advanced quantum computer in the world
  • Quantum software
  • VW project: traffic flow optimization
  • Q&A

We hope you can join us.
