Autism is more common in people with Down Syndrome than many people think yet awareness and help for these individuals and their families is just beginning. Join us for a review and update on the most recent information concerning dual diagnosis, the prevalence rate what to look for, how to diagnose, and what to do if your child receives the diagnosis. 

Common behaioral challenges and how to address them will also be discussed. Special attention will be given to the future direction of research and awareness of the dual diagnosis as well as information on the DS-ASD Dual Diagnosis Clinic families can access at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
