Do you know what it's like to get a little extra tired, cranky and stressed as the holidays approach? December can be a stressful time of year. The thought of spending time with family or in-laws we’re not crazy about, and all the stuff that has to be done, the meals, the shopping, the bills…it call all start to add up!

"We don't stop playing because we grow old,

we grow old because we stop playing. "

       - George Bernard Shaw

Give yourself a break from the consumer hustle and bustle and come to this cozy sanctuary for some connection, release, great beats and a sonic journey to a place of deep relaxation to wind the evening down. Come and play, with your voice, with body beats, with BoomWhackers, Drums, and Tone Chimes. No experience is required, and if you don't already have a favourite drum you want to bring, we'll have one waiting for you here.

We will go through the HealthRHYTHMS Group Empowerment Drumming Protocol, an evidence-based workshop that has been proven to significantly lower stress hormones and even improve immune function. We will learn a few rhythms, play rhythmic games,   and learn the value and fun of improvisation, when we can really be free to express ourselves in a safe environment.

We’ll end with some positive intention setting for the coming winter break, and the new year. By connecting and healing through the good vibes we create, we can all better prepare, and be more present, for the holidays. So we can really connect with the meaning of this time of year when we go inside, reflect on the past year, and our achievements and relationships. A time when we reconnect with others, with nature, and with Sprit, through ceremony, music making, feasting and festive moments.
